We’re proud to launch our work with Motor Neurone Disease Association for Global MND Awareness Day, 21st June. The topical campaign aims to raise awareness of how hard unpaid MND carers work, and how little support they receive.
Over half (52%) of carers of people with MND provide over 75 hours of care per week, and over 50% feel that caring has caused them financial difficulty. Global MND Awareness Day falls either on or around summer solstice, the longest day of the year. MND Association want to use this year’s Global MND Awareness Day to tell the nation that if you’re an MND carer, every day of the year feels like the longest day.
The campaign will run across OOH and social, with powerful imagery of MND carers doing everything they can for people they care for. The copy draws upon the proximity of the official longest day of the year to maximise impact.
